According to the B.O.E. (Boletin Oficial del Estado), a dive insurance and a medical attestation is required for all scuba diving activities in Spanish coastal waters. Until the age of 40, the medical attestation may not be older than two years. If you are above the age of 40, and annual medical check is required.
All divers not having a dive insurance can buy one at the dive center.
The medical check can equally be performed by a local doctor.
